2012 MRBerkely.Com/White Oak Cycling Team


The MRBerkeley.Com/White Oak Cycling team is pleased to announce that they are to roll out their 2012 season in collaboration with Huckleberry Bicycles.  This next year promises to be met with an 11 member team of seasoned criterium and track specialists to help add some speed and horsepower to the local events.  Two MRB/White Oak riders, Colby Farrell and Bill Howard, are former domestic pros who will call upon a third former pro as a special guest , Mike Taylor, to bring an unbeatable combination to Pro I,II racing. Also two trackies have been added to the squad.  Allen Vugrincic and David Broekema will bring their international experience to the speed events at the velodrome,.  Allen completed his 2011 season with a Bronze medal at the Masters UCI World Championships and is still very competitive on the elite level as well.  David Broekema has returned to the US after 3 years of living in Japan and racing Keirin.  His added experience will offer much in bringing the local racing up a notch.  Along with plans to be very competitive in local 2012 criteriums, the team shall also resume it’s promotion of track cycling events, mentorship, and management at Hellyer Velodrome in San Jose.
